ACFE and SATVC

The ACFE is a recognised South African professional body, representing and governing fraud examination professionals in South Africa. The South African Chapter represents the ACFE in South Africa, which is the world's largest anti-fraud and white-collar crime organisation and premier provider of training and education in these areas.

The SATVC has a MOU with the South African Chapter represents the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in order to promote training and hold all SATVC members accountable to the rules and regulations as set out by the ACFE. Training opportunities are multiplied to all ACFE and SATVC members by the agreement between ACFE and SATVC.

The South African Truth Verification Council (SATVC) is one of the leading professional polygraph and investigative organization in South Africa.  We provide advanced training and continuing education programs to all our members in order to upkeep exceptional standards in the industry.

The South African Truth Verification Council (SATVC) is one of the fastest growing professional polygraph and investigative organization in South Africa. SATVC Examiners and Investigators are highly qualified professionals who are motivated to help protect the public by verifying the truth, while following the highest standards of moral, ethical and professional conduct. In order to become a SATVC member, examiners must adhere to strict guidelines and educational requirements that include hundreds of hours of coursework at a SATVC approved school, as well as an internship. SATVC provide advanced training and continuing education programs to all SATVC members in order to upkeep exceptional standards in the industry. The Council's Accredited Institutions are inspected regularly and rigorously to ensure that the curriculum attain the highest standards by teaching the most current and fundamental techniques. SATVC is rapidly becoming one of the principal organs of South Africa. The Council is supported by a board of Directors who are elected annually. Through this board, the SATVC aims to represent industry segments that include government, law enforcement, private practice, education and the public at large. The council will continuously strive to serve as both the representative and executive branch. Depending upon local laws and regulations, the council self-organize and elect a leader to set the agenda of the governing body.

The SATVC members pledge to follow all the rules and regulations for polygraph methodologies as well as forensic investigative practices that are accepted and used in the field today. The SATVC governs the conduct of its members by requiring adherence to the SATVC Constitution, Code of Ethics and a set of Standards and Principles of Practice as set out in the industry.

In order to become a SATVC member, examiners must adhere to strict guidelines and educational requirements that include coursework at a SATVC approved school, as well as an internship. As in many respected professions, the SATVC members must acquire annual continuing education and training in order to maintain membership. Each SATVC accredited school is inspected regularly and rigorously to ensure that the curriculums attain the highest standards by teaching the most current, fundamental techniques.
